Rodrigo goes back to Father Basilio to inform him about what happened with Aurora and how Rafael came to pick a fight with her and Father scolds her for kissing Aurora against her will like Dionisio and Rodrigo tries to defend himself that his is different from that of what Dionisio tried to do to her because if Aurora should fall for Rafael, he will die but Father tells Rodrigo that if Aurora falls in love with another man, he will have to accept it and sacrifice himself because he caused everything.
Again, Rodrigo then explains to Father Basilio that he couldn’t make it on time to his date with Aurora because they happened to find out that Corina was the one who stole Elsa’s jewels, and that he is going to have a hard time apologizing to her because she won’t let him come near her anymore.
Corina rents a room in Altagracia and Maximina’s apartment.
Macrina keeps poisoning Xochitl’s mind against Aurora, and she has no idea that Macrina has had a hand in all the bad things which happened to Aurora.
Elsa tells Jeronimo that she was wrong about Aurora because the real thief turned out to be Corina and that she wants to ask for her forgiveness. So, she goes to see Aurora to plead for her forgiveness but she never mention to her who actually stole the jewel and Aurora tells Elsa that she forgives her in spite of all the pain she caused her when she kicked her out of the hacienda and Apolonia tells Elsa that it’s a great lesson that a humble girl like Aurora is a much better person than she (Elsa) is. Aurora tells Apolonia that she is happy to live in her home because she doesn’t feel forced to be something she’s not in order to be loved.
Jeronimo asks Elsa if she still will refuse to not allow Rodrigo to be with Aurora and Elsa tells Jeronimo that she still feels relieved that Rodrigo and Aurora’s relationship ended because no matter what there can’t be any future between Aurora and Rodrigo since their social background is still a limit for their being together.
Monica asks Rodrigo to accept the fact that Aurora has moved on and she is now being very close to Rafael, since they’re going together to San Miguel’s Fair and Rodrigo also decide to go for the fair too.
Camilo doesn’t buy Ines’ excuses to not spend time together, and he thinks that maybe she is in the relationship as a tactic to keep Chalo away.
Onesimo tells Wenceslao that the investigation is over, so he is no longer under orders to keep going out with Xochitl, and that he should keep in mind who her mother is.
Onesimo arrests Dionisio after he is found guilty and will be behind bars for 6yrs and Onesimo reports the situation to Gloria and Ponciano and she almost fainted.
Monica pays a visit to her mother and in their conversation, she tells her that Rodrigo is still after Aurora and Monica remains pensive when Corina tells her that Rodrigo would only get involved with her if she were dying and Monica asks her to repeat what she said and this surprises Corina.
