Monica pays a visit to her mother and in their conversation, she tells her that Rodrigo is still after Aurora and Monica remains pensive when Corina tells her that Rodrigo would only get involved with her if she were dying and Monica asks her to repeat what she said and this surprises Corina.
Severo orders Attorney Velazquez to do anything he has to do to make sure Dionisio doesn’t go to prison.
Gloria insists that everyone just ganged up on Dionisio because no one wants to see that he is a good person but Onesimo takes exception to that comment and tells her that she is the one who doesn’t want to see who her husband really is.
Camilo tries to have an intimate encounter with Ines but she keeps managing to turn him down.
Aurora confronts Dionisio in jail to compel him to tell her why he decided to harm her and destroy her relationship with Rodrigo and he didn’t want to reveal who is behind all the bad things he did to her because the information could be used against him.
Aurora then tells Onesimo that Dionisio said that someone used him to hurt her and destroy her reputation and Onesimo also reveals to her that Corina was the jewel thief.
Epifania tries to blackmail Apolonia by telling her that she saw her and Onesimo kissing and if she refuses to allow Aurora help her with the house chores, she will tell her children about it.
Severo tells Corina that he no longer wants to make a deal with her for her part of the hacienda he signed a promissory note to give him if the hacienda should go bankrupt, but that he will keep lending her money if she signs the corresponding promissory notes.
Macrina tells Severo that she is going to skip town for a few days while they find out if Dionisio is going snitch on them.
Attorney Velazquez’s arrives in the police station and wit his legal maneuverings keep Dionisio from getting transferred to the penitentiary, and after, he cautions Dionisio that there is a chance he could get out on bail but for now he should make sure to not say anything.
Monica manages to stay in the same hotel room with Rodrigo at San Miguel for the fair. Same vein, Rafael, Aurora and Chalo also arrive.
Onesimo and Apolonia go out on a date and she tells her that they should tell her sons about their relationship to make sure Epifania can’t spoil things for them.
Elsa tells Jeronimo that Andres’ love for her didn’t last long and he asks her if she thinks that he would do the same if they became a couple and Elsa goes dumb.
