MONDAY UPDATE ON COLOR OF PASSION EPISODE 90
Marcelo breaks up with Lucia “for good” because he now believes he is the cause of every bad thing that has happened to Lucia, Puebla, Mexico City, and the world.
Lucia has a good weep about Marcelo and is consoled by Magdalena. Nazario also has a chat with Lucia and Marcelo about the silly reasons for their breakup. Both Magda and Naz believe they are reacting rashly, and Naz just doesn’t understand young people these days who give up so easily on love. Whatevs! Everyone has more important things to worry about (like, if Rebe killed Al), other than Lucia and Marcelo’s relationship, including Marcelo and Lucia.
Well, except for Nora, who visits/pesters both Roman and Rodrigo to try to convince them to woo Lucia and snap her up while she’s broken up with Marcelo. She even tells Rod that he has competition (Roman). She also tries to continue her “friendship” with Marcelo, but he calls her out for sending that photo to him—not cool, and not something a “friend” would do. And even though Lucia doesn’t know about the photo, she still calls Nora out for her hypocrisy in trying to play the supportive sister. She knows Nora’s happy about the breakup.
Naz calls Vini out about circling Casa Gaxiola and Tere (he saw him chatting her up at the gate). That cute little filly already has an owner, so back off, bub!
Magda drops the double bomb on Rebeca that Marcelo is out on bail and that Rebeca’s lawyer in the fraud case is none other than Ric. Rebeca really isn’t pretending to be clueless this time, but Magda doesn’t believe her. She’s sure Rebe and Ric are as tight as ever. But, whatevs! She doesn’t care anymore. She thanks Rebe for doing what she did, because now she has the hot and awesome Mario, and Rebeca has nada. Toodles! Rebe calls Amador and chews him out about both developments (Ric being their lawyer/Marcelo being free).
Magda is going to see the gyno who saw Lucia, to see how the baby-making is coming along. She and Mario look like they’ve been happily doing their homework.
Leti visits Ric at his place after their dinner. She gives her condolences for Daniela’s accident and asks how deeply he feels for Dani and how deeply he felt for her mother. Awkward pause, and Ric is (sort of) saved by the doorbell. Amador barges in cursing Ric out for letting Marcelo get out on bail. He sees Leti and assumes she’s Ric’s new young conquest. Ric sets him straight. She’s my daughter! Leti leaves quickly. Ric says Marcelo being out on bail is no biggie. He’ll definitely be found guilty at trial. Trust me…Ric then confesses that Rebeca was the woman for whom he dumped Magda, and Al already knew when he died. Amador is both shocked and pleased to have this dirty bit of info on Rebeca.
Lalo tells Clara that he’s going to speak to his boss about hiring her to help in his house as well. He doesn’t mention Naz by name.
Lucia has decided she’s going to work at the fabrica from now on. Rebeca is not a happy camper. The next day, Lucia is unpleasantly surprised to see Rod in Marcelo’s office and working in the fabrica. He insists she needs his expertise, and sweetens the offer by saying he’ll be her eyes and ears with his dad and Rebeca and tell her what they’re plotting against her. He knows they are trying to steal what’s rightfully hers. Lucia’s not ready to believe him yet. He swears if he can’t be of use, he’ll leave on his own accord.
Lucia goes into her father’s office, and gets sad looking at his picture as she sits at his desk. Rebeca comes and kicks her out, claiming the office as her own. Lucia doesn’t fight her on it, because being in there makes her sad anyway. Normita finds her an abandoned office currently being used for storage, and Lucia gets to work. Later, while Lucia does inventory, Vini eyes her creepily. Lucia tells Naz about Rod’s offer to help her against Rebeca and Amador. She’s not sure if he’s really on her side, but she’s sure he’d jump through hoops to try to get back with her. Naz wonders if Nora will work at the fabrica too. Lucia would like that, because that’s what their father would have wanted.
Amador is not pleased that Lucia will be working there every day and whines about it to Rebeca. She says she’ll take care of Lucia; he needs to take care of Marcelo. Amador mentions that he knows about her sordid past with Ric. She denies it all and calls Ric a liar.
Clara’s son, Benito, asks his madrina (godmother) to take him to the police station. He wants to tell the detective that his mom had nothing to do with that woman’s murder.
Marcelo, continues on his guilt tour, and goes to cry over Daniela in the hospital. The “good” news (for Mili and Alfredo) is that her hematoma is finally shrinking. She could wake up any moment now. Joy. (NOT!)
